NYC Desk Calendar Deep Dive: February

Welcome back to the deep dive series! In this series you can read all about each photo in the Aerochase calendars for 2025. You can find out where the photo was taken, tips about getting there, and behind the scenes of each photo. I hope you enjoy!

February’s photo is one of my favorites! This super minimal photo of the Statue of Liberty is taken from Liberty Island looking up at the iconic statue. The Statue of Liberty, opened 100 years ago in 1924, is one of New York City’s most notable landmarks, but I love this unique perspective. Most shots you will see are either straight on, or with Manhattan in the background. This view highlights her imposing size and clean lines.

If you want to snap a unique photo of the Statue of Liberty (shown on the map below), hop on one of the ferries that visit Liberty Island from Battery Park in Manhattan.
