January’s photo is from the banks of the Hudson River. This shot was taken in the winter a few years ago, and I chose it because I love the chunks of ice in the river next to the blank field of snow. The symmetry of this shot is pleasing to the eye, and the different textures make it feel both ordered and abstract at the same time.
