July’s photo was taken in Newport Beach, California. I went to the beach by myself one afternoon to fly my drone. A storm was rolling in, so I took advantage of the dramatic lighting conditions for this photo. One of my favorite parts of this shot is the movement of the water and waves. The contrast of the sand on the beach to the deep blues of the water further adds to the dramatic scene. I included this photo in the calendar because top-down drone photography is at the core of Aerochase, and this shot is one of my favorite top-down shots of this year.
